Andrea Bowen is an American actor from the United States. She began by appearing in Broadway musicals Les Miserables and The Sound of Music. In 2004, she began playing the role of Julie Mayer on the ABC comedy-drama series Desperate Housewives, a role she played on a daily up to the year 2008. Julie Alexandra Mayer was born to Susan Delfino, and Karl Mayer. As a young girl, Julie was the perfect daughter for Susan she was frequently viewed as a mother figure of their marriage when she cleaned, cooked and even offered her mother advice on dating.
